My experience at the event:

I don't know if it was a great idea to take part in a tough race less than 24 hours from my first triathlon. But I needed the exercise, and I decided to run it with Jill and David anyway.
With bathrooms renovations going on for the past 2 weeks, it has been tricky to find time to train. This is why I entered the race.

The results above is a bit above my average, but with long sections (after a 2km hill at the start) of offroad and funnelling section, it was difficult for me to get a rhythm, especially after starting around 10 minutes after (we couldn't find parking).

The race was hard, especially in the first and last section, but at least the surroundings were nice. Working at the CSIR is not that bad with all that nature around you!

My time was slow but I decided not to risk it, especially at the end. Better safe than sorry the next day!
