My experience at the event:

After four years of achieving pretty much the same time (racing on a Mountain Bike over 95km of roads and stopping to take pictures with the cheerleaders never helped!) Curtis and I decided that it was time to step up a notch.
So on two similar road bikes (both Raleigh, Curtis' was borrowed while I bought mine second hand) we approached the 94.7 in a serious way and we destroyed our personal record, improving it by almost 45 minutes!

The race was hard when the sun hits us on the long ascents of the N4, but we managed to control our speed and finish around 25km/h, not bad since none of us had more than 30km experience on an alien road bicycle. I just realized that I will probably need to change my saddle, since my ass has never been this sore...
