My experience at the event:
What a great triathlon for me. Yes, it was far (130km from home) and I almost dragged Lindsey to come with me, but I was happy that she came since I performed very well!
The swimming leg was the best I did so far. 400m just above 10 minutes in a muddy water. I came out 81st, and then , after a very slow transition, I finally got in the right gear and completed my MTB leg with the 22nd time and my running bit with the 4th overall time, giving me a final 28th place (second in my category!).
It was a splendid day, and both Lindsey and I had fun (she's even thinking about competing next year). The triathlon was well organized, I had probably more chances of getting a puncture driving my car there (the roads were terrible) than while cycling in the muddy course.
