My experience at the event:

Weekend in Italy? After travelling 24 hours (for real) via Dubai from Johannsburg? Nothing better than a race!

My good friend Beppe organized to take part in a 14km (not even 13 really) at Ceriano Laghetto, 10km from my family home.

The race was maybe overcrowded for such a little place, and most of it was through a forest, on a muddy course. Unfortunately after only 200m I injured myself and I spent the rest of the race running with Beppe while struggling with my calf injury. But somehow I finished together with him with a decent time, and we still ended up before the rest of our group (my cousin, my sister and my friends).
Not a great performance by it was fantastic to run with Beppe after 20 years!
