My experience at the event:

It seems that I cannot compete anymore two days in a row if my lower back flairs up. After completing with Lindsey a 25km MTB race, the next morning I was up to take part into the monthly Zoo Trot at the Johannesburg Zoo. Two months ago I did my first, and it was time to get back to it and see if I could improve my time.

Unfortunately my legs didn't have much power and my final time was way above my best. 53 minutes for 10km is at least 7-8 minutes too long, but until I can sort all these annoying problem (not the best situation to be with a half Iron Man on the horizon) I better not go too crazy...  Back to sports
